Monte Vista Memorial Park–also called Monte Vista Burial Park and Monte Vista Cemetery at one time or another–has served Johnson City, Tennessee, for more than a century. The cemetery began in 1892 as Buena Vista Cemetery. Through decades of care and service, it became a fixture in the Johnson City community. The cemetery is among the larger perpetual care cemeteries in the area, which also includes the cities of Elizabethton, Kingsport and Bristol.
