Williams & Williams Funeral Home

Ossie and George Williams founded Williams and Williams on Gwinnett Street in 1948. The Williams brothers knew that Savannah’s African American population would welcome their special attention and personalized care in funeral service.

When Ossie passed away in 1965, George continued to build a thriving funeral business. In the late 1970’s, Mrs. George Williams (Sadie) earned her funeral director’s license, and managed the funeral home with her husband, until his death, in 1984. She continued to manage the business until 1998.

Known for their dedication to funeral service and to the Savannah community, in 2021 Williams and Williams Funeral Home combined with Bonaventure Funeral Home and continues to be “Committed to Your Satisfaction”.
